Em lista sem brasileiros, Apple Music elege 100 melhores álbuns da história
Apesar da escolha para o primeiro lugar convencer o público, a seleção recebeu críticas pela baixa diversidade geográfica

O álbum The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1998), de Lauryn Hill, conquistou o primeiro lugar no pódio. Vencedora na categoria Melhor Álbum do Ano, no Grammy de 1999, Hill Hill recebeu uma homenagem em forma de jantar exclusivo em Nova York, onde seu legado para o ritmo, a população negra e a música foi celebrado. Ela aceitou o prêmio e agradeceu a todos da equipe, à família e à sua mãe. "Este é o meu prêmio, mas é uma narrativa rica e profunda e envolve tantas pessoas, e tanto sacrifício, e tanto tempo, e tanto amor coletivo.”
As dez primeiras posições ainda incluem Beyoncé, Amy Winehouse, Kendrick Lamar, Michael Jackson, Nirvana, entre outros. O ranking foi anunciado no último dia 13 e, desde então, 10 álbuns eram revelados a cada dia. A lista foi marcada por controvérsias, especialmente devido a escolhas de lançamentos recentes e à baixa diversidade geográfica. O único álbum latino é Un Verano Sen Ti, do cantor Bad Bunny, que ocupa a 76ª posição. Todos os outros discos são cantados em inglês.
Entre os nomes selecionados duas vezes, estão: Prince (Sign O’ the Times e Purple Rain), Radiohead (OK Computer e Kid A), The Beatles (Abbey Road e Revolver) e Beyoncé (Lemonade e BEYONCÉ)
